Confederacy : Flashback 1920’s Theme

Since this week is themed Flashback to the 1920’s, in my world, I’d like to open the week by introducing a fabulous time capsule of a store entitled, Confederacy. Brand new to the streets of LA and in an area that could really have used something of its kind, Los Feliz, I hope it proves to be a huge success. Stores are closing left and right but owners Danny Masterson (of That 70’s Show)  and celebrity stylist Ilaria Urbinati (previous buyer for Satine and Milk) came in with a big bang 5000 square ft concept and shop. The womens and Mens shops are seperated by a soon to be cafe, said to launch before the conclusion of the year.

There are great little touches of the 1920’s including the telephone booth dressing rooms and the sales people dressed in uniforms designed for the store by Rag&Bone. Boys wear trousers, a vest and suspenders, and the gals wear pleated skirts.

Their brand selection is right on point, housing names like Boy by Band of Outsiders, Etro, Proenza Schouler, Martin Margiela, A.P.C. and Vena Cava, Patrik Ervell, Nom de Guerre, Tim Hamilton, Michael Bastian, Benjamin Brixby and a private label suits collection by the Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr.
