The guys at LegoLand California built this historic scene: Barack Obama taking the Presidential oath of office on the steps of the Capitol in Miniland U.S.A. President Obama, his wife Michelle, and daughters Sasha & Malia, along with Vice President-elect Joseph Biden are replicated as mini-figures crafted of LEGO bricks. Hundreds of LEGOLAND mini-figures have been invited to witness the inauguration. Pretty Cool!

“More than one-thousand mini-figures have been created out of thousands of LEGObricks to be a part of READ MORE

You thought Pamela wasn’t modeling anymore ?! You were wrong! Here are some shots of Pamela Anderson modeling for Vivienne Westwood not too long ago and, although initially skeptical, we can safely say Westwood has struck gold again. The shoot’s models include Vivienne Westwood and her husband Andrea Kronthaler, along with Pamela – the center of attention – showing that she hasn’t lost her touch!

Laura Marling : New Romantic

So I’ve been in one of my melancholic moods lately. From the depths of my morose, I bring you the lovely Laura Marling, a much needed alternative to our beloved Feist. A bit younger, a bit quirkier, and a bit more rough around the edges. I recommend you watch her videos on youtube, she is irresistably adoreable. And for her refreshingly raw music, I wrote her this short letter:
Dear Angel Face,
Thank you. Your music bleeds of truth and vulnerability with a surprising sweetness. I spin your record, sip my tea, and I am happy.
Sincerely,
Danielle

CSS : Move

Staying on the theme of CSS I wanted to add one of their latest hit tracks, called “Move” from the “Donkey” album which the released mid of last year. This song has plenty of remixes as well that you can check out on their myspace page. Whatever your feelings were about their first album will most likely transcend into their second album, “Donkey”, since it stays pretty true to their first delivery.

If you are a fan of Brazilian group CSS, than one of the things you can’t help but wonder is where they get all these outrageous outfits. Lead Singer, Lovefox, is almost always seen decked out in ‘fits from who other than our friend Peggy Noland, the Queen of Latex jumpers and bright 80′s patterns. We introduced you to Peggy back in 2007 ( see interview here ), when she first launched her brand. Since then she has worked with … READ MORE
