If built, the 2009 300 SL Panamericana from Gullwing-America promises to update the original “with technology from 50 years later.” Wow, what a beauty, Hopefully they will really consider reproducing the mythic Gullwing…

Maybe its just me, the profile doesn’t seem to fit the front and rear view – front & rear = classic, side view = hotrod…

I hope, they consider having the original 300SL just as orientation. I think it’s kind of strange, to simply copy a design from 50 years ago. This looks like a private project, where people start putting new parts into old cars.
