“Translating autonomous ideas into commercial projects…”
Thomas Voorn is a conceptual stylist and designer with a contemporary vision on color, clothing, and communication. He is particularly interesting to highlight for his process and multidisciplinary implementation of concepts. Just looking at his work can catch you off guard, as it did when we first featured him on Trendland (see here) and called him fashion designer. He is a designer in the full sense of the word but uses different mediums/disciplines to illustrate how his concepts live in those worlds. This Collection is called Fashion Herbarium (In botany, a herbarium is a collection of preserved plant specimens) – Coming Home Series 0.3. You can see throughout these photos he has implemented his floral designs all throughout the home and as worn as apparel.
“Got wood?” asks Nicola Barnes in our latest poster. Well, Michael T Rea does. The Chicagoan carves space shuttles, time machines, and machine guns from humble timber. His work appears to be an odd mixture of devotion and revulsion towards modern technology, which he interprets in great detail without reference to photos or models.
Looks like a trend coming in the photography world, after the Geometry Class style of the “Omega Time by Zeduce” it is now turn of great fashion photographer Jeremy Liebman. One of the driving forces behind his photography is a fusion of shape and form with fashion, It’s a mixture of innovation and tradition, color and movement. Liebman’s work has been featured in Surface, Details, Vogue, Marie Claire, Nylon amongst others. See all of his stunning pictures here: www.jeremyliebman.com
Haha! I thought its was a pretty funny video, seeing Paris interview Lady Gaga at the launch of the Nokia 5800 Touch Phone. So how is your duet coming girls ?

To me, Blackblack are the perfect realization of an adorably morbid band. The Dompe sisters, Diva and Lola, channel their teen angst into catchy lo-fi rock songs that paint pictures of paranoia and zombie parties, but which I assume are really about normal life as a young lady. Bonus Trivia: - bassist alex greenwald is in a few other bands, including phantom planet & jjamz - Papa Dompe was in Bauhaus - Sisters Dompe are Urban Outfitter models (see them here) - the riff at 1:20 of “sophia” makes me swoon every time - I think the band has disbanded - you may still be able to order their homemade CDs (more custom album artwork, yeehaw [Song of the Day: [04/24] from their website.
