Song of the Day : [08/26]

Remady : Need 2 say

remady

Remady is a Swiss Dj and producer who is quickly gaining popularity internationally. He is one part of the duo Player & Remady but has recently been pushing on solo. He started out in drum and bass and progressed to other genres including electro-house which this song can be classified as. Speaking of electro-house there is just something about it that is captivating, could be the 4×4 drums patterns, the heavy synths, the beautiful vocal samples, the elaborate intros or simply the club feel the songs gives you. It graduates from the chiller vibe of the regular house music we know but doesn’t get pop and cheesy like mainstream techno and trance. Either way it makes you want to get up and move, and this track is a perfect example of that. Crank up the volume and enjoy…

Saucy Wildfox Lookbook

spring10-8408

LA based design duo Wildfox Couture may not be groundbreaking wares, but boy are they mischievous and unashamedly fun! Childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon are the creative force behind the vintage-inspired women’s brand. Combining great style and unsurpassed quality, Wildfox has quickly gained a cult-like following amongst celebrities and top retailers worldwide. Inspired by Native American artwork and vintage rock & roll t-shirts, the young designers gave birth to a brand that tells a story of their generation and friendship. Today, the girls spend their time visiting vintage shops and working out of their Silverlake-area design studio – where they sew their hearts on their sleeves and spread peace and love through design. Much like their salacious Fall 09 lookbook, Wildfox’s Spring 2010 collection “Young Guns” takes cues from the American Apparel school of advertising and presents a bevy of bright young things pouting, slinking and cavorting in various states of undress.

Water-like Reality Linnea Strid

LINNEA STRID 12

One can say without a doubt that Swedish artist Linnea Strid‘s forte is painting water in a way that confuses the onlooker as to whether the piece they are looking at is a photograph or a painting.
