Vanessa Bruno transports us to a beautiful, whimsical world with Jane Birkin’s daughter Lou Doillon for her Spring Summer 2009 campaign. The photo shoot and film (made by Mark Borthwick), is as ethereal, serene and feminine as the collection.

Daniela Gluntz has some great photographs in her portfolio but I wanted to just focus on her beauty shots, which are pretty sumptuous. I unfortunately do not have the names of the make-up artists who also did an amazing job on this shoot.
Ólafur Arnalds : Ljósið
Olafur Arnalds is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Iceland. His compositions are often slow and wordless and fall under the same relam as other artists like Clint Massel who composed requiem for a dream. The music is “thought-experiment”, the instruments and their arrangements are merely there to evoke certain emotions out of the listener, so ideally everyone imagines their own story and evolution to the particular piece of music. Kind of like a painter providing certain colors and a general scheme for everyone else to paint to as they see fit. This particular piece is taken from his album “Found Songs”, in april of this year he composed and released a track daily for seven days instantly making each track available within 24 hours and at the end of the 7 days all the tracks were compiled and made availble in a collection as found songs. The video that accompanies this track is one of the most aesthetically pleasing things I have seen and is a must see! Enjoy

Over the past nine years I have been arrested by the Taliban and READ MORE
