As a digital media artist based in Germany, the portfolio work of Jann de Vries is extensive, but it is his deconstructed collage works that particularly stand out. He takes existing photos from various fashion journals and magazines to create a new reality, hence the name Wirklichkeit, translated as Reality. This should entice you to check out the rest of his portfolio. READ MORE

Mike Posner and The Brain Trust : Hey Cupid

Mike Posner and The Brain Trust’s A Matter of Time is some of the best new music I have heard in a long time. It is contemporary funk accomplished by mixing the best of hip hop, R&B, and pop. Michigan based Mike Posner is something of a producing prodegy, at only 20 years old he was able to produce a brilliant range of unforgettable beats on this mixtape. Get tuned in quickly if you have not already downloaded the entire mix.

Ella Manor’s images create an alternate worlds fusing together the characters created for each shot, which often represented through some kind of masquerade, and the layering of environments. Manor’s style becomes distinct in the mixing of exposures and transparencies of layers she often creates to tell a story. The talented New York based photographer’s vigor is clearly stimulated by fantasy and opulent imagery. It feels even more like mix media art than photography. Ella Manor’s photograph’s are currently exhibiting at the Michali Fne Art Gallery in New York’s lower east side.
