Keepaway is a trio out of Brooklyn who just self-released an EP entitled Baby Style. The track “Yellow Wings” has been getting a lot of blog love and rightfully so. At first listen, you might automatically mistake the track for a new Animal Collective song, but soon the band’s indie rock sound shines through and you realize that Keepaway might just have a little more to offer than most bands trying to follow in AC’s footsteps. I’m loving the trippy loops, the solid percussion and the Isaac Brock-esque vocals of lead singer Nick Nauman… “Yellow Wings” is outright infectious. The band seems to be unsigned at the moment, but I am sure that will all change in the blink of an eye.
