Taking you all back a little way here, but I heard this song in a mix on 8tracks this week and was blown away. Exposition is an MC from Boston but resides with his band, The Audible Mainframe, in Los Angeles. He started out as a spoken word artist, and the influence shows through in his rhymes, but then moved on to hip-hop. This track is off of his first album, The Metro. What stands out to me about this song are the inspiring lyrics and the simple, but surprisingly smooth beat. The guitar and the drums hold up the structure and tempo of the song while the horn section floats in and out with jazzy melodies. Enjoy!
