While at Turkish Fashion Week last month, we sat beside and mingled with the editors of the soon to launch Turkish Vogue, in the front rows of the young designers presentation and Hakan Yildrim‘s shows. It was only after about the second day that my curiosity led me to find out who the woman getting all the hype was. It turned out it was Ece Sukan, former model, photographer, stylist and shop vintage shop owner who had recently been crowned title of Editor-at-large for Vogue Turkey…We were very curious to get our hands on their first issue, March 2010, to get a feeling for their vibe.

Though neither of Giorgio Armani’s collection’s made our Milan Runway Review, we took some major trend notes from the Emporio show on the hair. These asymmetric pixie-bob’s were such a distraction I had to go back through the pictures two and a half times to actually see the collection, and even then my eyes kept trailing off to the hairstyles. This is a preview of something big coming. We have seen the pixie come in and out of style and the Bob has been haunting us ever since Anna Wintour became a household name, but its time for a new signature bold, and I think this is the direction. I can finally imagine myself chopping my hair off after all these years.

Majestic is the latest Alexander McQueen Fall 2010/2011, ‘ a poetic, medieval beauty’. You all heard that the show was canceled, instead they had this beautiful presentation yesterday in a private salon in Paris, banned from photographers.

Kisses are a two-piece based out of Los Angeles, CA. “Bermuda” is gonna be released as a 7 inch single this April through Surrounded By Sound which is some sort of off shoot having to do with Force Field PR. I’d give a link for Surrounded By Sound but it’s just a myspace page with 2 friends on it. I think they might be laundering money. joke. Be sure to check out the rest of Forcefield’s roster, they have a pretty solid line up.
If you’re in Los Angeles, Kisses have a DJ set this Monday night at Mandrake bar. Also they’ll be playing SXSW with the rest of the free world.

The fact that we cannot find young menswear designers like Vincent Schoepfer in the US is a a bit outrageous! I am familiar with him because a friend of mine tipped me onto it 2 years ago and I worked with his PR office. The collection combines the key elements of success ~ affordable prices with READ MORE
