Our friends have been hyping “9 by Design”, a new reality series on Bravo, to us all week, so we decided to sit down last night and see what they were talking about. “9 by Design” is based on hip New York city couple Cortney and Robert Novogratz’s life, juggling 6 kids (and another on the way) and continuously buying, renovating, and moving into new properties within a 5 mi. radius of downtown NYC. “Something Good Can Work” by the “precious” new Irish trio known as Two Door Cinema Club will without a doubt go down as one of the hottest indie tracks of 2010. Although the single was officially released in May of this year it leaked on the web as early as February and since that time has with ease penetrated the pop charts. But with influences like Bloc Party, Modest Mouse, and Death Cab and a style that much resembles that of Phoenix, it’s no surprise that the Kitsune Records signed band composed of Alex Trimble, Kev Bair, and Sam Halliday has had it’s way with the music world.

I just stumbled upon the stunning work of Brazilian/New Yorker photographer Gabriel Mendes, Urban Puns is an ongoing project to shoot random people (yes, random! found the same day in the street), in front of some beautiful graffiti murals in New York, Rio de Jainero & Sao Paulo/Los Angeles. The result is stunning! (Shot between 2006 and 2008)
