Gorillaz : Some Kind of Nature (Featuring Lou Reed)

In my book the Gorillaz have never failed to deliver an album short of praise. Each album an anthem of its time, working in the sounds we subconsciously associated with the group : down-tempo rapping, high-pitched crooning, disco synths over loping reggae bass lines, yet always in a completely new way. Plastic Beach brings together the iconic sounds of Snoop Dogg, De La Soul, Lou Reed, the Clash’s Mick Jones among other classics into more laid back vibe. I am really feeling the Lou Reed feature of “Some Kind of Nature”. Check it out below.
