It is always super refreshing to see Japanese street style, only all too often it is represented by the color-blasted Harajuku characters that I have gotten so bored of seeing. We can always count on the Japanese metropolitans to bring it beyond all expectations and I think Scott Schuman did a great job capturing some of what I love most about Tokyo street style.
The Madrileña artist Carmen Garcia Huerta has two really distinct styles of illustrations and its really interesting to see the difference between her clean airbrush style compare to her rough and artsy style (below), I personally really like both, but I’m sure some of you have a preference. While reading through the latest issue of French Magazine (#16), I discovered the brilliant still life photography of Koichiro Doi. In the issue there is a whole beauty editorial titled “Blur”, in which he photographs beauty compacts in very quick movement, creating a beautiful gradation of colors while abstracting the actual object.

For some Coachella is all about the show, for other its all about the parties, and for the super charged its about being everywhere worth being. Its hard to weed through all the parties and know which ones are worth the trip, but in the last 5 years I cant say we have made too many bad decisions. Every year there is the iconic Anthem Party, which is the rager of all ragers ~ great crowd , great music, great house and always a great party.
Famous for his Chicago, Cloud Gate, Anish Kapour is a visionary, I went digging into his art from the beginning of the 80s and i couldn’t believe my eyes !
