Conned by some press and his followers as the future of Australian Fashion, Dion Lee looks as if he is on his on the right path to becoming an international brand. The 24-year-old designer is only in his sixth collection, but it is already clear he has that special touch, a vision that sets him apart from his fellow Australian peers.
I saw an image yesterday that caught my eye on CLM’s site and I literally had to look through all the set designers and photographers listed on the site to get to the second to last photographer and discover that the image above was photographed by Jenny Van Sommers. I knew that if I hunted down the photographer it would lead to some other fantastic work, so it was worth all the digging.

Dutch photographer Desiree Dolron’s acute vision meshes traditional documentary photography and computer enhancement, by mixing these two methods, Desiree achieves her powdery, glowing effect – allowing her pictures to look almost like paintings.
British designer Karen Ryan was invited by Balloon Contemporary in Chicago and commissioned to create a collection of “Custom Made” chairs from discarded chairs and other scraps. Inspired by American culture and childhood narratives and the Adventures of Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Fin, she came up with a series of chairs that mixed cultural paraphernalia.
