Samantha Cole London is an Award wining Contemporary British designer. She received Best Womenswear Designer at NY Fashion Week for her ss09 collection. Cole draws influence from modern day trends (Geometric Architecture…) without completely relying on it for the direction and purpose of her collections. Definitely a designer to watch!

CFDA Designer Glamour Shots


This year for the CFDA Journal, designer nominees came in for their glamour shots. The honoree’s were photographed by Sølve Sundsbø in a shoot styled by Lori Goldstein with the creative direction of Trey Laird. “We liked the idea of pairing the designers with a reflection of their work and someone who represents their aesthetics,” Laird said. Trailer Set Installation


Awhile back some of these photos were circulating the web and people were wondering if they were photoshoped or if this scene existed somewhere. Indeed this was a set built in 2005 by Catherina Scholten for an outdoor theater, in Amsterdam, for Anton Chekhov’s Ivanov. I absolutely love these!
