Yoshida Brothers : Kodo (Inside the Sun Remix)


The Yoshida Brothers are a duo from Hokkaido, Japan.  They specialize in playing the shamisen but are also famous for taking the traditional art of shamisen playing and adding modern touches to it.  If you have never heard of the shamisen, just think of it as kind of like a Japanese banjo.  They have been around for quite a while but I was recently turned on to them by a friend of mine here in Japan. Alexandre Vauthier Couture Show FW 2010/11


Still not on the official calendar, Alexandre Vauthier presented his third collection in Paris for the Fall/Winter 2010/11. This collection is made of volume, imposing structure and fluidity with a mix of technical (neoprene, viscose) and natural (alcapa, black fur) fabrics. The designer is supported by celebrities such as Rihanna and Madonna and by famous high fashioned brands such as Louboutin or Swarovski. READ MORE
