Creep : Scala & Kolacny Brothers

Surely you’ve seen Inception by now, and if so you’ve seen the trailer for Aaron Sorkin’s the social network.  So you’ll surely recognize this song, a cover of Radiohead’s 1992 debut single, Creep, on Scala & Kolacny Brothers’ 2002 album, On the Rocks.  I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the best covers I’ve ever heard and can you think of a better song for a movie about Facebook than CREEP?

Scala is an all girls choir hailing from Belgium conducted, arranged and accompanied by the Kolacny Brothers.  They’ve made their name by rearranging and covering the hits.  Their list includes Bittersweet Symphony, Smells Like Teen Spirit, and even The Divinyls’ I Touch Myself.  All of their stuff is both incredible in its compostion and viscerally gorgeous, but this cover of Creep really is something special.  Like I said, you probably first heard this during the social network‘s trailer and between Sorkin’s writing (and screen adaption) skills and David Fincher’s directing chops, I’m quite sure this movie will be one of the year’s best.  What could make it better? Trent Reznor scoring the film, that’s what!  Until it’s October 1st release date, enjoy this most amazing cover and creep on, my fellow Facebook’ers.
