Like every season, we review the artsy ‘Fantasy lookbook‘ of Prada. For the Fall/Winter 2010 the illustrations are by Alexander Reichert & Fausto Fantinuoli with mostly backstage pictures shot by Phil Meech and the same art direction team as the previous seasons  (OMA).

Ben L’Oncle Soul: Soulman


Ben L’Oncle Soul is aptly named for his tenderly expressed lyrics and blend of the blues, gospel, and a bit of sweet-sounding rhythms. No doubt, his touring days with the Fitiavana Gospel Choir may have had something to do with it. L’Oncle Soul (aka Benjamin Duterde) shot out of the landlocked city of Tours, France with a musical vigor to succeed. READ MORE

Street Style Video : “Take a Walk”


Once again Trendland pioneers the way with this new mini series of  street style videos, shot in the streets of New York City. The series captures the everyday life of the typical New Yorker ~ out to lunch, running errands, biking from one destination to another, conversations on stoops and anything else you may catch a New Yorker on the move doing. J’aime mon Carre by Hermes


We told you that luxury brands are starting to be more and more involved in the internet. After social media/viral marketing micro site ‘The Art of Trench” by Burberry, it’s now Hermès that is copying giving it a shot with their newly launched ‘J’aime mon Carre‘. Surfing on the scarf trend, they created their own street style inspired photographs of ‘IT’ girls from London, Paris, NY and Tokyo. READ MORE

Stefan Strumbel: The ‘Cuckoo’ Clockmaker


Stefan Strumbel exaggerates the traditional cuckoo clock with elements of urban art and pop art. Five years ago he decided to stop painting graffiti and concentrated on his art. Mostly known for his clocks he also works on all types of wooden masks and typical catholic crucifixes.

Eliza Doolittle: Pack Up


Eliza Doolittle is not a freakishly-talented animal doctor; nor is she the speech-impeded protagonist of the popular film and Broadway play, My Fair Lady. However, she does take on a namesake that could imply associations with both. However, the London-born cutie did spent her blossoming years focusing on Broadway, starring in RSC adaptations of Les Miserables and The Secret Garden. READ MORE
