I came across these two series of ad campaigns for Calgary Farmers’ Market. The clever ads were created by an independent advertising agency in Calgary called WAX. You should also take a look at their website and check out the “what we are doing” link (make sure to scroll around and click in to see). Kind of amazing!
In the last year each time my jaw drops in awe from a new pair of sunglasses (usually from a runway look) it always traces back to a designer collaboration with Mykita. It has happened one too many times to ignore, so I thought I should do a little highlight on a few of the recent designer collabs Mykita has done. The most recent one that struck me is featured above, the Anai (see the Iara below), a series designed in collaboration for Alexandre Herchcovitch for his SS 2011 show.

I love the retro feel of this editorial photographed by David Fransisco for Portuguese magazine Magnetica. It reminded right away of Tom Ford’s “A Single Man”. The styling, lighting and location came together really nicely to give a very authentic vibe. READ MORE
