During the British Fashion Awards, Nick Knight introduced his short film tribute to Alexander McQueen. The 3.27min film was directed by Knight and set to an exclusive soundtrack by Björk styled by Edward Enninful, and features solely black models in the best of McQueen’s archives.
I love this imagery of the bird and the boy by London based artist Luca Mantovanelli, from his series called “Extinction”. There is a sensuality in the relationship between the two as well as in each of their expressions, and the marriage of pencil and oil in one frame give the work a beautiful complexity.
