Margarita Mileva’s Wearable Rubber Band Art


The other day a friend of mine was telling me about her friend who had some serious obsession with rubberbands. She described to me the work she had created using only rubber bands and how she was finding herself at her day job not able to think about anything other than rubber bands. My friend was speaking about NY based Bulgarian Architect, Margarita Mileva. Mileva finds inspiration in objects that are rapidly becoming obsolete as a result of the pace of technology.

Creatives need creative spaces to create original content! For the TrendOffice today, we are reviewing the office of Wieden + Kennedy (W+K London). Situated in The Old Truman Brewery in London’s Brick Lane area, the £1.2 million architecture/interior design work was designed by Featherstone Young.

Prada S/S11 Eyewear Illustration Lookbook


For their new ‘Minimal-Baroque’ eyewear capsule S/S 2011 collection Prada hired three up and coming illustrators  – Marcela Gutierres, Andrea Tarella and Ivo Bisignano, to do their sunglasses lookbook, hand picked by Muiccia Prada herself. I am loving the Guiterres and Tarella work but not a fan at all of Bisignano’s one. Which one is your favorite?

Jeremy Blincoe’s Wander and Wonder Series


Melbourne based photographer Jeremy Blincoe’s photographic series Wander and Wonder capture ragamuffin-like children wandering through marvelous ‘fairytailesque’ landscapes. Indeed there is a general reminiscent feeling in Blincoe’s work that spurs up ideals of the old Brothers Grimms’ Fairy Tales and other such childhood fables.
