Givenchy F/W 2011


If this is Ricardo Tisci’s last collection for Givenchy, before moving to Dior, well than he is making his exit with a bang. The collection felt like a very new kind of streetwear, a super hard but still ultra feminine, luxury streetwear. The graphics really lightened up the some seriously femme fatale looks. I loved the layered organza and fur (perhaps it was velour) duets.

Retrospective Burda Collages


Peruvian graphic designer, Raul Ronald Moreno Cardenas used old Burda magazines (1966) to create these original collages and video. To achieve a more timeless result he mixed the pages with other magazine, classic wallpapers and textures. Watch the video below. READ MORE

Peter Nencini’s Handwerk


This is super cool looking, but what is it? That was my question to the artist, Peter Nencini. “This is a limited edition of boxed artworks, for Partners & Spade’s store. It’s from a running project, called ‘Handwerk’. This translates into German simply more or less as ‘craft’ but for me the implication is more to do with an action and a tactile thinking,” responded Nencini.

The Speaker Orchestra by Ross Ching


Every year DTS creates a promotional video for CES in Las Vegas. This year, the commercial directed by Ross Ching is a bit different. DTS wanted to make something that people would replay, something that would stimulate people’s minds when they view it on their computer screen. I guess Ching succeeded !
