In a little studio in romance-filled Paris, France, Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezéchiel Pailhès go as Nôze. There, lyrics of love (and lust), pumping pianos and loony horns resonate with an unlikely jazz-meets-electro flair. The French-men have a knack for gypsy jazz, and even a bit of reggae.

The duo’s newest album, Dring, demonstrates their immense versatility and overall experimental nature. It is not every album release that sees genre-blurring. While remaining safely as an electronica twosome in the eyes of fans, Nôze fuses any element of dance no matter its origin. They invite new fans with each track simply by freely traversing from 1920s Parisian jazz to club bumpers. There is no need to press “next.” Dring is a mix unto itself.
