I was not crazy about Alexander Wang’s S/S 2012 collection, but I did rather like his T by Alexander Wang S/S 2012 selection. The minimal palette and lightweight fabrications gave the collection a really effortless grace. He did exactly what was meant to do with this collection, create beautiful everyday separates at a accessible price point. READ MORE

I really like Jill Stuart. I know that if I ever want something that will make me feel really soft and feminine and look great on my body I will be able to find it in her store. The Jill Stuart S/S 2012 collection was more sweet than anything else. Her palm tree prints, pastel palette, peter-pan collars, and fairy-like silk slipdresses gave this collection a very youthful spirit. He also dabbled in sheers and cut-outs and really stepped away READ MORE

Well as usual DVF had a lot to pick from on the print front for S/S 2012, but that was not the highlight for me. I really fell partial to the drapey color-blocked looks and the more tailored/boyish silhouettes. The combination of the soft palette and the novelty tops used for the tailored looks felt really feminine and modern at the same time.
