Roksanda Ilincic went full throttle sporty-chic for her S/S 2012 collection. Ofcourse that dichotomy almost always suggests great use of color/blocking on relatively simple silhouettes, and that is just what we saw in this collection. There is no denying that Mary Katrantzou is one of the most dynamic new conceptions to the fashion world. It was clear to us when we featured her back in 2008 for her graduating collection that this talent was here to stay. Season after season she has continued her avant-garde exploration of textile development to bring us jaw-dropping looks distinct from anything else we see. For S/S 2012 Mary Katrantzou explored nature in her textiles. An impulse that seems far more transparent than previous seasons notions.
