The work Folds by Robert Seidel for the Lindenau Museum (Altenburg, Germany) may be understood as a rapprochement with the history of the museum’s collection of plaster casts. Seidel was particularly interested in the ancient, fragmented bodies – how through the loss of limbs they became almost abstract, fragmentary sculptures and READ MORE

Since Phoebe Philo took over the helm two years ago, Céline has pretty much become the go-to line for impeccable cuts and sleek perfection. A woman’s design for the woman wearer.
This season, Phoebe goes simpler and softer, delivering a refreshing, palate-cleansing collection. “No, there’s nothing particular this season,” says the designer, READ MORE

Santa Monica based, Awolnation, is the solo project of Aaron Bruno. The concept behind his music not only comes out in the genre-mashing nature of his sound, a hi-fi pulse of electronic-rock/hip hop, but also encompasses his brand(of AWOL), which he explains as escaping “a situation you can’t handle. A way for all of us to get our aggression out, READ MORE

This season is looking bright for Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, and not just because his collection has been getting rave reviews. The line—famous for its quirky, off-kilter take on sportswear—was just bought by South Korean company EXR, with big plans of opening 30 new stores in 2012, as well as a third line called Ligne that the designer describes as “French preppy”.
Therefore shifting his namesake line towards a more couture style, JC/DC called this S/S 2010 collection “Rustica Galactica”, READ MORE
