A new take on an old classic, I love these Lichtenstein-esque shots. A very well done beauty editorial by Fashion Photographer Mike Ruiz. For her third lookbook Nina Nikicio, a Jakarta-born designer, looked for inspiration from some of her favorite bands…Joy Division, The Kills, and Billy Idol. She says she wanted to create a collection that evoked the feeling that a “gritty world is more charming with hints of suppleness” Notice the mixes of suede, satin, lots of black…yet combined with feminine drapery and soft fabrics for a glam, gothic, yet chic look.. I love the purple top and leather skirt.
