Fillipa K.’s Fall LookBook

Posted by

The pops of color, the tailoring, the simplistic modern design this is the best collection I have seen in a while.

L1

A new take on an old classic, I love these Lichtenstein-esque shots. A very well done beauty editorial by Fashion Photographer Mike Ruiz. Ruiz has worked with the likes of Vanity Fair, Flaunt, Conde Nast Traveler, Interview, Paper, Citizen K, Dazed and Confused, Arena, Italian Elle, Spanish and Brazilian Vogue and was a contributor to Dolce and Gabbana’s “Hollywood” book and Iman’s “The Beauty of Color” beauty book. Nina Nikicio Lookbook Vol. III

Posted by
05 Nov 2008

For her third lookbook Nina Nikicio, a Jakarta-born designer, looked for inspiration from some of her favorite bands…Joy Division, The Kills, and Billy Idol. She says she wanted to create a collection that evoked the feeling that a “gritty world is more charming with hints of suppleness” Notice the mixes of suede, satin, lots of black…yet combined with feminine drapery and soft fabrics for a glam, gothic, yet chic look.. I love the purple top and leather skirt.
