Design Voices: An Interview Collection for the Design Lover

What’s on the minds of the world’s leading designers? And what matters most to them right now? Design Voices by Anna Carnick seeks to answer these questions and more through engaging interviews with eight of today’s most prolific designers—Maarten Baas, Dror Benshetrit, Giulio Cappellini, Milton Glaser, Ross Lovegrove, Stefan Sagmeister, Massimo Vignelli, and Tokujin Yoshioka.

Gathered over the last few months of 2011, the conversations in this timely new e-book provide a rare glimpse inside these eclectic designers’ minds, revealing how they view their own work, the current state of design, and even a few predictions for the future.

For example, according to the legendary Milton Glaser, “When people talk about design, they’re really talking about, technically, everything in the universe that has to do with intent.” Meanwhile, industry rock star Stefan Sagmeister asserts: “The still image will continue to lose its importance. Everything that can be animated will be animated. The printed book will die.” And design icon Massimo Vignelli says, “It will always be up to good designers to correct the public opinion and promote quality.”
