There is a red carpet lineup of sounds on the Electric Guest list. The Los Angeles duo pop the spotlight on their seductive vocals and VIP  friends (harmonica, guitar and keys) in a pool of magnetic beats with American Daydream. Off their latest album, Mondo, on Downtown Records (dropping late March), produced by Danger Mouse (Broken Bells, Gnarls Barkley), the pair Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton atypically map melodies under the electric-soul-hipster-rock parasol with a sonic boom. Breezy and sultry, the music breathes a refreshing lesson on living laxed and large on coastal California.

Last week the band also released their single This Head I Hold, along with a confident and daring video by director/producer of prime Jorma Taccone (infamous viral Dick in a Box) for their American Dream single. As the handsomely talented West Coast players bathe in sun-fused lyrics and salty acoustics, they are A-list bound with an SXSW performance and a crowded list of upcoming shows. Catch them at L.A. must-know The Echo this month before they roam the Midwest in March. A front row at any of their gigs would prove multi-sensory and audio-visually stimulating.
