Phillip Lim has become king of retail separates. He always nails the street trend on top of the head, or maybe its that he sets it. That sounds more like it! When asked about his 3.1 Phillip Lim S/S 2012 collection Lim brought up childhood references like kites and spoke nostalgically about Jil Sander and Helmut Lang in the 90′s. I’ll keep my review to a minimum to avoid preying on my disappointment. NY Womens SS09 fashion week was just Blah. Of course the Classic masters, Ralph Lauren and Jill Stuart, delivered up to par, but no one really managed to inspire me.
