Black and white, androgynous super future is how I would quickly sum up RAD by Rad Hourani’s SS 2011 collection. The music on RAD’s runway (see video of runway and hear music here) was as bold as the looks. Though his collection is quite progressive for ready to wear, I feel with every season the young designer is continuing to carve a very special place for himself in fashion.

Early this year we featured the SS 2010 Collection of talented Singapore based designer Max Tan. He has just sent us his most recent collection, FW 2010/11 entitled Against. Max Tan touches on androgyny and geometric deconstruction of simple patterns to create beautiful new silhouettes. “Maximizing on minimalistic ideas, proportions are sometimes blown out of proportions.”

No big introduction to make here, we have said it before and we will continue to say it as long as Ann Demeulemeester is run by the one and only Ann, PURE GENIUS! The mens SS 2010 collection is sizzlin’, sexy, hot! I absolutely love the contrast of fabrics and the sequins touches spread throughout the collection. Take notice of the tattered rope accessories and of course as always the brilliant footwear. Androgyny at its finest!

I absolutely love this editorial called Gotta Look Sharp, shot for Clear Magazine, by photographer and Editor in Chief of the mag Emin Kadi. The styling, from hair to wardrobe, tells a brilliantly androgynous yet surprisingly upbeat story.

If you have never picked up Clear Magazine, its time you do so because without getting the magazine in your hands you will never quite understand the value and collector quality of the publication. Using technology as an art tool, Clear has accomplished many “firsts” in the world of print, including the “clear” cover, magnetic paper and the world’s first ever, 100% recyclable, tree-free issue, which debuted during Design Miami/Art Basel last season.
