Carmen Freudenthal (photographer) and Elle Verhagen (stylist) aka Freudenthal & Verhagen have been working as a photographer/ creative team since 1989.
Their collaboration with fashion designers such as Bernhard Willhelm, Viktor&rolf, as well as performers and other artists results in a wide variety of work, which is, at the same time, always recognizable by a typical humoristic approach of daily life and an undeniable own style, using and abusing contemporary imagery and (photo)graphic techniques

More then 2 years post the Launch of Bernhard Willhelm’s first store in Shibuya, Tokyo, I’m still amazed of how Item Idem, (an amazing collective of hyper-crea; designers, artists, architect…which Bernhard is a part of) and the Japanese in general so are advanced in trends. The store is a reproduction of a Tokion bum’s lifestyle. As you can see below they are pushing the theme to the max !!
