Piers Atkinson’s latest collection “Paris” consists of a 33-strong extraordinary headpieces. He drew inspiration from the Parisian noir side with its dark cafes and extravagant showgirls and that came across in the unconventional grunge and glamor collection.
The new AW11 collection of jewelery designed by Danielle Scutt was shown during London Fashion Week few weeks ago. The surrealistic and luxury designs with the 80s flair and good sense of humor features red lipsticks, teapots, enamel hands and even platinum blond hair. Samantha Cole London is an Award wining Contemporary British designer. She received Best Womenswear Designer at NY Fashion Week for her ss09 collection. Cole draws influence from modern day trends (Geometric Architecture…) without completely relying on it for the direction and purpose of her collections. Definitely a designer to watch!

British designer Tim Soar showcased his menswear collection entitled “Folding Diagrams for a Spread Squash”, further elaborating , ”A spread squash consist of pulling in (nearly) opposite directions to form a new shape within an existing base.” I love that metaphor for deconstruction, though I am not really seeing much of that in this collection. It feels like a serious throwback to something of eighties rockabilly inspired minimalism in conjunction with some novel detailing. His years of moonlighting as a DJ and his desire to perfect the fit of menswear is displayed almost on a subconscious level, all while exuding an effortlessly cool vibe.
