Despite a very short record of menswear, Marni is quickly carving its niche in the market. Graphic, simple silhouettes, with great details continue to be Marni’s signature spirit, even for menswear. Loving to color blocking on the pants and shorts and the pop of color on the collars.

Hardly ever do I skip over reviewing a Dries Van Noten menswear collection, and S/S 2012 is no exception. The collection is relatively simple with some great geometric color-blocking to give the looks an extra push. We are starting to see more and more of this shorts over pant look in menswear and I feel though the idea may sound a bit too edgy for most, it looks totally effortless when done well.

For as long as I have followed fashion Jil Sander has been a staple in setting the standard in my eyes. This SS 2011 Raf Simmons continues the houses legacy of pure, minimal but highly inspired forward fashion. There was nothing conservative about Simmon’s palette, “A mille-feuille of color,” as he best stated it. The colors infusing the collection with a vibrancy that I really did not feel anywhere else during Milan Fashion Week. Read the full story
