It’s not easy to follow up winning the award for 2011 Designer Brand from the British Fashion Council, but wonderwoman Victoria Beckham has already done so with her denim line’s new video, entitled “Step for 2“. Released just a few days after the illustrious awards show, the video launches Victoria’s Spring/Summer 2012 Denim collection in a kaleidoscopic mix of vintage cinema illustrations, slick hot-foot moves, and an upbeat beatnik cool.
Anchored in Ralph Lauren‘s authentic American heritage, their new collection Denim & Supply is replacing the Polo jeans line. Offering a new approach to denim and sportswear, capturing the weathered character of found vintage pieces and effortlessly styling them with an eclectic, individualistic spirit. In characteristic fashion, denim master Scott Morrison is entrepreneurially leading the industry (again) with an inspired little shop of large ideas and limited quantity denim for connoisseurs and walk-ins alike.
“I have always loved the sewing detail, the factory experience, seeing how everything is made and total transparency. So, I wanted to put it all behind glass and let people watch it being made right there. The point is to do something beautiful and that no one’s ever seen and in a way that no one’s ever seen.”
