Sergio Garcia’s Abstract Tricycle Sculptures

I am absolutely loving these abstracted sculptures by artist Sergio Garcia. These tricycles are such an iconic memory from our childhood and still today so it is amazing to have something representative of them as art in your home. This would also make a great sculpture/logo for a creative children’s school. Garcia will have a small exhibition opening on the 29th of December, 2011 in New York at Frosch & Portmann Gallery. Alexandra Lekias Illustrations

Alexandra Lekias’s work is rich in symbolism and infused with irony. The works draw on dreams, memories and the artist’s personal narrative to explore themes of childhood, sentimental nostalgia and popular culture. A strong sense of the ridiculous and bizarre pervades the black and white ink illustrations, which are illuminated with vivid splashes of oozing water color in lolly-vomit like hues. Red Blue Motion Totem by Malene Landgreen

Earlier this year we featured the work of Malene Landgreen and yesterday we were contacted by her studio to announce her current exhibition at Esbjerg Kunstmuseum in her home country Denmark.
‘Red Blue Motion Totem’ is the name of the exhibition which was created in celebration of the 100th birthday of Danish painter Richard Mortensen.

YSL Retrospective

15 beautifully curated rooms are currently dedicated to a Retrospective on Yves Saint Laurent’s life as a designer at the Petit Palais in Paris.
