He has been collecting dolls since he was three years old and as a result, today he has a collection with around 500 pieces. Former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld appeared at last Paris Couture week as a “client” —and W’s cameras went along for the ride. Filmed by famous French film director Loïc Prigent, they followed the charming ‘editrix’ to more than 20 fashion shows, to fittings with couturiers from Jean Paul Gaultier to the reclusive Azzedine Alaïa, and, finally, to a two-day shoot with photographer Paolo Roversi.

Prada has always been very creative with their lookbooks. Once again thinking outside the box, they hired extremely talented Illustrators, Art Directors and CG artists. Eindhoven based designer Bart Hess has created this brilliant video introducing the graduate designers’ work of the Dutch Fashion Academy’s students for Modebelofte 2011, the fashion part of the Dutch Design Week. Re-shaping the human silhouette in a fluid slow motion exploring volumes, while only focusing on the garments. The video is an absolute work of art making him the winner of the MINI Young Designer Award.

A bastion of French luxury given a modern twist: Nick Knight‘s Autumn/Winter 2011 campaign for Hermès reinterprets the artisan tradition and hand-craft synonymous with Hermès for the twenty-first century. The vibrant fashion film takes on a painterly quality with beautiful movement from Alana Zimmer and Isaac Carew. The overlayed brush strokes mimicking the fall colors that appear in the luxury brand’s beautiful prints are a great touch the final aesthetic of the video.
