After the release of American Youth last year, a selection of cult movies for MK2, world famous designer and photographer Hedi Slimane collaborates this time with the online shop thecorner.com and presents a short film called ” I Love USA”. His two favorites subjects – Teenagers and America- are the theme of this piece of art. Black and white as usual, Hedi Slimane describes the American way of life as he sees it by using strong images of a masked wolf playing the cello and a young cheerleader dancing to a strange melody.

‘[INSERT EDITORIAL NAME HERE]’ editorial with Henry Barnacle and Jort D photographed by Marijke Aerden and styled by Ulrika Lundgren for [insert magazine name here] – February 2006.
This editorial has always been a bit of a dream boat, stumbled across it looking through old menswear photographic archives and fell in lust again. Talented musician boys with the greasiest of hair yet ever so immaculate ensembles. Oh the days of Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme with Pete Doherty as a muse. If anyone has any clue as to what this editorial is called and which magazine it is from, the information would be much appreciated.

I love all his framed type photos because they are just the right words and dynamic to tell his stories.

Hedi Slimane, the man who used to head Dior Homme, but more importantly, the man whose razor-thin black suits revolutionized menswear, is now heading his own photography exhibit “Perfect Stranger.” His exhibit opened yesterday in Paris at Galerie Almine Rech and will feature Hedi’s explorations with “vaporous abstractions.”
To see more on what Hedi Slimane will be doing in the future, check out this Hint Mag interview.
