Il Lee’s Pen Art

Korean born, Brooklyn based Il Lee is best known for his ballpoint pen abstract artworks which he has been doing for more than 30 years. It is stunning to think about the labor that goes into each of these works, and not to mention how many pens it must takes to do the larger pieces, as big as 8′ x 12′ feet. Gabriel Iumazark Illustrations

Sao Paulo based illustrator Gabriel Iumazark’s distinct, sketchy style is a wonderful game played on the eyes. The exaggerations of form are in all the right places and make the Brazilian artist’s work fun to look at. His style is something new entirely. Enjoy some of my favorite’s here… Read the full story

Illustrations by Matthew Cusick

Exhibiting internationally since 1995, New York-based illustrator Matthew Cusick owns an impressive portfolio of mixed media art. The Texas-born king of collage is widely known for his work with vintage map cut-outs, configuring entire states and countries into credible works of art. As applaudable as this work is, I’m particularly drawn to the colourfully ironic ‘Happy Ending’ series, as well as the religious undertones found within the much more somber portrayals of ‘Constellations’.
