As you may know, Issey Miyake himself does not create Issey Miyake collections anymore for about 10 years now.

Currently showing at the Barbicon Gallery is “Future Beauty : 30 years of Japanese Fashion”, the first exhibition in Europe to comprehensively survey avant-garde Japanese fashion, from the early 1980s to the present. Curated by the eminent Japanese fashion historian Akiko Fukai, Director of the Kyoto Costume Institute, the exhibition explores the unique sensibility of Japanese design, and its sense of beauty embodied in clothing.

When technology collaborates with Fashion it results in this: Issey Miyake x Dyson collaboration- The two have come up with the DC16 limited edition (a.k.a “The Wind”), a super stylish handheld vacuum with twice the power of other handheld’s. Issey Miyake designed the Dc16 vacuum and Dyson designed the Dc16 jacket ( the 2007 Paris Runway ). What a beauty! I have always been a super fan of all the Tsumori Chisato campaigns. The color and ethnicity are always captured and magnified in their vibrant campaigns of which Surface to Air Paris has been the guiding creative light since 2005.
