Somali born rapper K’Naan teamed up with producer J Period to form The Messengers. The duo has released a trilogy of mix tapes in tribute to some of the world’s most influential musicians. They have released mix tapes honoring Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, and Bob Dylan. Its an in genius idea executed perfectly.
