The latest ‘More or Less’ knitwear collection by Nanna van Blaaderen is inspired by organic forms, animal and nature. The designer used thick woolen yarns in off-white colors and experimented in combining knitting techniques with braiding techniques. Soft textures and raw expressive structures of these knitted sculptural pieces are applied in fashion, interiors and autonomous fields.

After flipping through  too many menswear collection with zero impact for S/S 2012, I got to Missoni, which I can always count on for an emotional lift. The colors and patterns add to this knitwear remixed look that I have always associated with Missoni. I especially loved the knitwear suits, looked like a jogging de luxe!

Following the success of Mark Fast’s collection for Topshop this year is his new ‘luxury basics’ line called ‘Faster‘. Faster fashion at faster prices is the idea behind any diffusion line, but Mark Fast is making sure that the quality is top notch by producing with an Italian atelier using the most advanced seamless knit technology. ‘Faster” offers a range of wardrobe basics that aims to bridge the gap between the high street and Mark’s handmade knitted dresses that retail for up to £3,000. For this project he has brought Julia Restoin Roitfeld as Creative Consultant. The collections’ prices range between $25 – $400 and can be found at Seven and Curve in NY.
