Mathew Ames SS 2010 Campaign

Often when bombarded with images and ideas I look to one of my recent favorite designers, Mathew Ames. I thought of him his morning and realized I had not seen his SS 2010 lookbook campaign, so I decided to take a break from the chaos and enter into some purity. Entering his world is comparable to meditation, a non-reflexive playground where everything just makes perfect sense. A simplicity that is so difficult to attain, can rarely be associated with young designers as Ames, but its like draping is his first language.

A Match Made in Fashion Heaven

I was scrolling through A Shaded View, Diane Pernet’s blog, when I saw some images that almost made me cream all over myself. It was the images of the SS09 Mathew Ames Collection shot by Sybille Walter and styled by Samuel Drira, which brought me to Ames’s website to research more work by the dynamic photographer and stylist duo which have been working with Ames.
