If there’s anyone with something to smile about, it has to be New Mexican-born Arizona Muse. The 23-year-old model and mother of one has had an impressive year since being selected to open and close Max Azria’s show in New York. Following this, the formidable success of Arizona Muse has continued, walking for an endless list of designers including Marc Jacobs and Prada, whilst earning Read the full story

“It’s refreshing to see something that isn’t trying so hard to be new. There’s so much striving for newness now that newness feels less new.” – Marc Jacobs
Tough lowered its guard for the farewell wave to Bryan Park. And that was that. New York was quiet. Muted – the palette and the message both. Inspired by sleep, it felt like it. Not that we mind ambiguity every once in a while. Read the full story

Most of us know of Nastia Liukin as the Gold-medalist who made a bright pink leotard iconic. In this ad campaigne for Max Azria she has come leaps and bounds (excuse the pun) from that pink leotard.
The 2009 Spring line was inspired by modern dance and movenent. Nastia has the casual grace that matched the attitude of the collection perfectly.
See the rest of the gorgeous campaign photos and a video of the gymnast flipping through the air in these flowing masterpieces.

Take a peek into the home of designer Max Azria. There are elements that I am a big fan of, I especially love the balance of warm and cold vibe throughout the different spaces. Look closely at the extravagantly gold leafed ceiling in one room and the strange textured ceiling in what seems to be the entrance. Would you live there?

Nastia Liukin is getting mad love! Everyone is talking about her ss09 campaign for Max Azria’s. Only one photo has been released, I cant wait to see more from this shoot. The movement and body extension in this photo is just electric!
“The spring collection was inspired by movement and modern dance so she was perfect. It was meant to be, and the magic just sort of happened,” said Max Azria creative director Lubov Azria. The ads will debut this month online, with no plans to run in print magazines because of budget.

I’ll keep my review to a minimum to avoid preying on my disappointment. NY Womens SS09 fashion week was just Blah. Of course the Classic masters, Ralph Lauren and Jill Stuart, delivered up to par, but no one really managed to inspire me.
