Think of it like Grease, but without the raucous T-Birds boys—and a lot, LOT more glamorous. We’ve seen the images of Prada’s Steven Meisel-shot Spring 2012 campaign, but the newly released motion picture that goes along with it still takes my breath away. Prim and oh-so proper models, pastel perfect vintage cars, and twisting close-up shot angles really bring the brand’s pieces to life.

And the location itself—an anywhere-USA gas station set to a yummy blue sky—is the perfect setting to the 50s Americana fantasy film.

Here is the latest Prada Campaign for their womenswear SS 2011 Collection photographed by Steven Meisel featuring Mariacarla Boscono, Arizona Muse, Kinga Razjak, Zuzanna Bijoch, and Tati Cotliar. I have to say that I am a much bigger fan of the collection after seeing this campaign than I was when I saw the runway presentation. I don’t know if the styling is better or if it only seems that way because of the grouping of looks in each shot.

Balenciaga really let their guard down and let their experimental juices flow when creating the ss 2010 Campaign, shot by Steven Meisel and styled by Marie-Amelie Sauve. They obviously picked on the pronounced indicators of the fashion collaging trend that has been evolving for some time now. The campaign is well-suited to the graphic/symmetrical influence of the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Im curious to watch and see how the effect of this campaign will stream through the luxury market.
