For their first runway presentation the young prolific brand Suno, known for their use of prints, seemed like they tried to reserve some of their usual fire by keeping to a minimal palette. Of course the prints were in no way jeopardized, but it did give the overall vibe of the collection a more serious air. As usual there was a great use of pattern mix and layering. Read the full story

We first introduced you to Suno in their second season ever, back in 2009, and I am not quite sure why it has taken us so long to revisit their collections. Either way I am very happy to see the development of the brand has stayed so true to their initial mission and aesthetic. I absolutely love their ethnic-contemporary prints and look book photos for Resort 2012.

Following up on a Trend we recently reviewed about Pattern Mixing, you should see the Suno Fall 2009 Collection. With their second collection Suno is going strong on the colors and African inspired textiles. After creating their samples in NY, they send them to Kenya where the garments areĀ produced in small workshops by artisans. This collection is inspired by a mix of East African and downtown NY women. Girls you are lucky! I would love to see a cool African inspired collections for Men.
