
I adore the latest works of UK artist Dan Hillier. He combines fragments of Victorian imagery and anatomical studies from the natural world to create darkly humorous hybrids. These assemblages suggest the extinct traditions of regal portraits married with a surreal elements which reminds me of Max Ernst’s art.
